Dipped Cookies and Cows?

I'm sure you've the cow decoration theme if  you live in the USA, Sisters and Brothers.  You know, that black and white pattern, sometimes even cows themselves showing up on plates, servers, figurines and even wallpaper.  Oddly where I'd expect to see them would be on food and yet outside of dairy products it has been rare.  until Cow Tipped Cookies who sent us a big box of their "Double Chocolate Dip" cookies.

As you can see the cute cow logo, names Tippy, is both on the outside and inside of the box the treats came in.  It was delivered with a minor amount of packing which you know we like here because less trash in landfills is more room for crops and less need to take over land that should be growing cacao.  Why put on a cow on your cookies?  Why not especially if your ingredients may include real milk or butter.

The Double Chocolate Dip cookies are large, over 3 inches diameter, cookies that are half dipped in chocolate.   Check them out on a average sized dinner plate and you can see how big they are.  They are also about half an inch thick.  As you can see they are indeed dipped and the ingredients list states that they use Callebaut Chocolate which you may have heard of before.  They call these double chocolate but they really are triple chocolate in terms of the different ways the chocolate is used.  The Callebaut is both on the outside, the shell, and in the form of chips inside a almost brownie like cookie.  These had a strong cocoa fragrance the moment I opened the bags they came in, each held 6 cookies, and when I took a bite I could detect two cocoa essences.  The Callebaut is darker than the cookie in terms of chocolate intensity for both taste and scent.  The cookie had a drier outside, not crisp but more brownie like.  Inside it was still quite moist and the chips a touch crunchy, adding extra bursts of chocolate when I encountered them.  The photo showing these didn't turn out well enough to share, Sisters and Brothers.

Those are the Cow Tipped Cookies a pre-made treat that is great for hot weather when you don't want to be heating up your house baking.  Not only that but their triple chocolate punch, not double as the name suggests, meant I and others who shared them with me got more than enough for a chocolate fix with just one cookie.  That means if you can store them well, one box could last you a good week.  That's a great buy when the average cookie you find at most stores has to be eaten like popcorn to get even a slight cocoa buzz.  These cookies are certainly a worthy Sacrament for The Chocolate Cult.

These cookies are packaged really beautifully and they look luscious. As for your question on my site, no, I don't have an assistant. I take all the photos myself and when I need some help, my 7-year old son usually takes the shots. He's getting quite good!

Thanks for reading and commenting, Foodiva and Christine. I take the pictures myself, too, or I ask one of my family members. I wish I had a better camera but with all our house repairs since 2011 started -- not by choice either -- I certainly do not have money for a better camera.

They were but sadly not vegan, Cacao-Me, and I know that is important to some of you and you know I'll tell you when something is.

I have to say that for packaged cookies, briarrose, these were far beyond what I was expecting and they really did hit the chocolate spot.
