Of the 12 bags that came in the Aycana Exotic Sunrise Variety Pack, one two had chocolate of any type. While I'll briefly list and show the variety in the product, we'll focus on the Cocoa & Nuts bags since this is The Chocolate Cult. I received this pack for free through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest review of the item on the website; this is an unexpected bonus for which no additional compensation was received.
As you saw in the top photo, seven different varieties were in the pack that I received. This was one less than I should have received, the Crunchy Banana was not included and instead I got an extra Golden Berry, Banana, and Blueberry Crunch bag. Perhaps they were out of the one type when they packed the box, but in that case a note saying so would have been nice.
The Crunch flavors were not good because the dried fruit was too dry. The Bites varieties were all excellent; they tasted like low added sugar granola should with a clear difference between them in terms of the flavors you expect from the label.
Here we are interested explicitly with the Cocoa & Nuts Granola Bites. The nutritional information on the bag says this has only 1 added sugar and you can taste that with the higher cocoa flavor of the bites, so if darker chocolate isn't your thing, this may not be your thing. However, the nuts free from so much added sweetness are allowed to taste like themselves and you get walnuts and almonds along with peanut (these are not tree nuts). The most surprising thing about the Bites are how close they are to the image on the bag.
Did you notice which one was the printed picture and which was the bite I put on the bag? Go back and look again. They are very close, aren't they? At 3/4 X 3/4 X 3/8 inches these are a full bite for an adult mouth. Sadly only seven pieces come in a bag.
If I could order just the Bites and not get the Crunch, I'd strongly recommend this product. Oh, wait!
