Let's begin by looking at the table of contents to see what types of recipes are included.
The movies that inspired the recipes are listed with each recipe. Sometimes there is a photo of a poster or an artwork from the film. However, I wish a couple of sentences were included that explained the inspiration from the movie to the recipe. I am familiar with most, but not all the movies, yet I couldn't guess the connection for each of them.
The recipes are laid out with ingredients (multiple components have their own ingredient list) and with relatively easy to follow instructions if you have experience in the kitchen. This may not be the ideal book for a kitchen newbie.
Staging or serving each dish is an important part of these recipes; there is even an introductory section about this topic. Not every recipe includes a photo of the final dish, sometimes a movie related image is shown and a few times no photo is given for that recipe at all.
Finally, given the subject of this blog, we have to ask how many of the 60 recipes include chocolate of some type? Just one, a beverage called "Never Sleep Again" inspired by a Nightmare on Elm Street.
