I'm asking the question about this article that came out back in September, when I doubt most of you cared about advent calendars. Now that you might be thinking of using or giving them as gifts, let's revisit that article from Cosmopolitan.
They shared nine calendars as the best.
Some by brands we've covered here on The Chocolate Cult: Nestle, Charbonnel Et Walker, Hershey's, and Harry and David.
Some our Chocolate Priestess has tried outside of her role as the creator of this blog: Divine Chocolate, and Godiva.
Some that are new to us: Whittard of Chelsea and COCO.
These varied in price so they were quite inclusive that way.
However what was the basis of the testers' judgments? We weren't told really.
A big concern I have about all nine of those recommended is that none of them come in reusable form. We've looked at a few Advent Calendars in the past and those that had a calendar frame that is reusable is quite rare. But if we love chocolate, shouldn't we care about trash, recycling, and reusing all forms of materials used with the creation of and the sell of chocolate, too?
I want to challenge all chocolate advent calendar makers to consider making reusable frames and selling the chocolate to go into them year after year.
