In 26 days it will be Halloween. While we stopped doing our Annual Halloween Treat Challenge during the pandemic (which makes me sad) sometimes what we get to review fits into the holiday. That's the case with this massive 10-pound Party Candy Assortment Box from LAETAFOOD. While none of the candy is wrapped in Halloween themes, a huge supply of candy might be what you are looking for if trick or treating is big where you are. We were sent this product via the Amazon Vine Program to test and review there; this article on this blog is a bonus. No other form of compensation was received for honestly sharing our experience with this item.
The first thing I want to note is that what came to us was not packaged as the product information page on Amazon suggests. It was just a regular box with four clear bags of candy. The bags were not resealable, there were no labels on them to either identify the company or give the nutritional values though you can find that on the product page which following our links will take you to.
We took out all of the candy and divided into types and brands but not along flavor categories. Below you will see how much candy that was. There were 15 categories we divided everything into; you can see would could have divided further by the colors of wrappers within each group. The assortment I received contained the following: Dots Mini Box, Flat Multi Colored Lollipops, Flopita Pops, Jaw Breakers, Kool-Aid Popping Candy, Kool-Aid Taffy, Mentos, Passion Fruit Milk Caramels, Tootsie Fruit Chews, Tootsie Juniors, Tootsie Midges, Tootsie Pops, Tootsie Snack Bars, Twizzler Twists, and Whatta Bubble Gum. The smallest number of any type of cady was the Dots at just 5 boxes, while the largest amount of any candy was the 108 pieces of Kool-Aid Taffy.

Since this is a blog focused on chocolate, we separated those pieces of candy out for us to talk about in more detail. All of them were from Tootsie, which is a bit disappointing. Each of the Tootsie products were in good shape, only one Junior was slightly unwrapped and my assistant ate that. We tried one of each type of Tootsie product and found them reasonably soft and easy to eat. There were four varieties of the Tootsie Pops – Cherry, Chocolate, Grape, and Orange. In order of the amount of each item, the Juniors were the most and the Midges were the least.

If this LAETAFOOD Party Candy Assortment Box seems like it could fill a need you or an organization you are part of will have for Halloween or another occasion, check it out. It wasn't enough chocolate to meet our goals here on The Chocolate Cult, but is a good assortment of non-chocolate candy.
