I saw an article today about a new historical study of chocolate from
Marcy Norton called "SACRED GIFTS, PROFANE PLEASURES
A history of tobacco and chocolate in the Atlantic world".
Writing popular history is always a tough choice for scholars so when they are brave enough to do so on a topic we might enjoy, Sisters and Brothers, we may want to check it out. Your Chocolate Priestess has not read it yet but I will make a note of it and perhaps a publisher might send it to me to review.
Sisters and Brothers, may you too take the time to slowly appreciate what the Divine and human ingenuity have offered you in chocolate.
