Most of 2018 has been an ongoing celebrate of 10 years of publishing The Chocolate Cult. Below is a list of the brands, companies, and individuals whose products we've tested and written about over the past 12 months. Those marked with * are in the running for 2018 Best Chocolate.
Before we get to those, let's remember the brands that have won previously.
Out of the brands that sent us something chocolate, which was the best?
First let me say that it came down to a difficult decision.
Both Hedonist Artisan Chocolates and Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate are excellent brands and wonderful smaller businesses whose staff was kind enough to work with us this celebratory year (which isn't quite over yet).
Both companies sent us multiple products so we got a great sample of the types of chocolates they make from bars and barks to truffles and caramels.
The quality of the products and the care of the owners and staff are equal between these two brands. Two things, artistry and community connections, set one of them above the other.
Help me welcome our 2018 Best Chocolate winner Hedonist Artisan Chocolates!
