We go back to Theo to compare it to the Wild Ophelia version of dark peanut butter cups in this entry of our Peanut Butter Cup Showdown.
The two cups look really different, don't they? The Theo is slightly lighter, bigger around, and heart-shaped while the Wild Ophelia is darker by comparison. Yup, same 4-pack I was using before for the Wild Ophelia testing.
The Theo cup just broke apart when I tried to cut it in half because it was so thick and dry, too. The Wild Ophelia has a darker filling. But the Theo just has a bland flavor to begin and it stays somewhat waxy as I chew until there is a small pop of peanut butter flavor and some dark chocolate. By comparison the Wild Ophelia has an almost fruity flavor to the dark chocolate but the peanut butter filling is weak and I don't get the sea salt until the end. Both were disappointing this time around.
Anyone out there ever try the Wild Ophelia version of dark chocolate peanut butter cups?
