Have Your Chocolate and Stay the Night

Sisters and Brothers who adore chocolate, help me welcome Bibianna Stutsman
from the Artist Colony Inn and Restaurant  in Nashville, Indiana, today to talk about their business's relationship to the annual Humane Society's Chocolate Walk.

Thank you for agreeing to answer some questions, Bibianna.

ACIH Front, Nashville Indiana
First, what is the Artist Colony Inn and Restaurant and how long has it been
operating?

We are a full service restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also host 23 rooms, 8 of those rooms have balconies. We have banquet facilities and a private dining room.

What is your specific role with the Artist Colony Inn and Restaurant?

My husband and I are owner/operators.

Have you always been in the hospitality industry? If not, why did you decide to take on the Artist Colony Inn and Restaurant?

My husband has always been in the restaurant business and I was a Child Care director. The opportunity came along to have our own business and work together and we thought it was a great fit. We love working together which can be a little different with married couples.

Every year, on the Chocolate Walk, there is a stop at the Artist Colony Inn and
Restaurant. How did you all get involved with this charity event and why do you
continue?

We were ask to participate in the very first Chocolate walk and it was such a great success both for our business and the Humane Society that we continue each year.

What is the biggest challenge the Artist Colony Inn and Restaurant faces preparing for and during the Chocolate Walk?

Weather, which we cannot control. We have had every type you can imagine. We have learned because of the time of year and Indiana being, well Indiana we just provide a space inside for the Chocolate walk participants to get there treats.

Usually your business gives out a sample of this wonderful chocolate cake. Is that a dessert that can be ordered in the restaurant as well?

Yes, you can order our chocolate brownie cake in the restaurant also.

Probably the most important question we ask everyone we interview for The
Chocolate Cult, are you a chocolate lover and if so, what is your favorite type of
chocolate?

OH YES! I love chocolate! Dark chocolate has become a favorite of mine over the past few years, but I won’t say no to chocolate very often. I always say if the treat is not chocolate, it is a waste of calories!

Finally, if a reader wants to learn more about the Artist Colony Inn and Restaurant, where can they find that information?

Our website is a great source, or just give us a call 812-988-0600 the staff will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Thank you, Bibianna, for talking with us all. Own group of walkers will definitely be stopping by the Artist Colony Inn and Restaurant during the Chocolate Walk.

I know some of you other Chocolate Walkers out there have tried their cake, too, so please leave a comment and let the world know what you think and let Bibianna know how much we appreciate her taking the time to answer our questions.

Nice article. I've eaten at the restaurant, but have never stayed overnight. Now I want to!

We stayed there years ago. They have their own parking lot which is a huge plus for anyone trying to be in Nashville, Indiana, for any reason.
