Enjoy Life Foods announced, out of an abundance of caution, a voluntary recall in the United States and Canada of a limited quantity of a select list of baked snacks products due to the potential presence of hard plastic pieces. This is not related to an allergen. The company became aware of this issue as a result of internal quality assurance surveillance. 

NOTE: This is only one image. Products are being recalled in both the USA and Canada, but the products look different and have different information. To learn about which particular products are being called where you live, check their website here.

This recall is limited exclusively to the Enjoy Life products and Best By dates listed in the grid below which are sold in retail stores and online in the United States and Canada. No other Enjoy Life Foods products are affected by this voluntary recall.

There have been no reports of injury or illness reported to Enjoy Life Foods to date related to these products.

Consumers who have this product should not eat it and should contact the company at 1-855-543-5335 in USA and 1-844-366-1172 in Canada, 24 hours a day to get more information about the recall and how to receive a refund. Consumer Relations specialists are available Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. 

This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Lavender Shortbread Cookies with Chocolate Chips

Little Rock, Arkansas – J&M Foods is initiating a voluntary recall because a select number of the Lavender Shortbread Cookies were erroneously packed with Chocolate Chip Cookies.  As a result, the packaging does not list the presence of a possible allergen (soy or eggs).  Some people who have an extreme allergy or severe sensitivity to soy or eggs could run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Following are the product lots impacted by this voluntary recall: Favorite Day, 7 oz, Lavender Shortbread, 0-85239-28609-8, BB 18-Apr-2023

Recalled product was sold as an individual package of 7 ounces.  On individual packages, the lot code (best by date) can be found on the back of the bag and the item number (UPC) can be found on the bottom of each package.  Photos of the recalled product are below.

This product was distributed nationally at Target.  This is the only product that is subject to the recall.  Target has been notified and they have removed the product from their store shelves and online.

We were made aware of this issue via a consumer contact.  To date, there have been no illnesses reported.
