As you know, we share chocolate related food and beverage recalls here on The Chocolate Cult. However, there are plenty of other products that get recalled that we do not share because they don't have chocolate.
September is National Food Safety Month in the USA, so I'm going to share some resources and advice for all of you.
Sign up for food alerts from the FDA. It is easy to do. Just go to the FDA website and create an account. It is free and once you have an account, you can set up alerts based on the types of products you use.

Spread the word to your family and friends. You can sign up to follow the FDA and reshare their posts, or use their resources to create your own. You can find resources for 2023 HERE
If you have never had formal training on how to prepare food, bake, or cook, look into classes at your local community center or community college. Sometimes they are even offered for free to residents or only cost a small fee since these courses tend to not be offered for degree certification.
Pay attention to the news for recall notices and always check to see if you have the product in question.
I want you to stay healthy so you can enjoy chocolate for decades to come.
