Are these a Good No Sugar Day Treat?

October 3rd is National No Sugar Day which asks people to refrain from eating or drinking anything with added sugar. It must be added sugars because the human requires sugar and will turn other building blocks of energy into sugar so that our cells can use that energy. In honor of this approaching date, I want to share with you all this Honest Bite Zero Sugar Candy in the Brownie Batter flavor. These are gummies and the chocolate element may be in the "natural color and flavor" ingredients. I was set a pack of ten small individual serving pouches to test out and then review via the Amazon Vine Program; no other form of compensation was received for sharing my honest experiences and today's post is an unexpected bonus for the brands.

I must bring to your attention the fact that on the box and the pouches that I was sent, the calorie count is 0, but on the Amazon product page it claims it is 5 calories. That might not seem like a lot to you, but if someone really loved these and decided to eat them by the pouchful multiple times a day, those calories would add up.

The gummies are a decent size, over a half an inch diameter. They were stuck together in the pouch so I pulled them apart for the below photo; they didn't stick to my teeth. They had a very sweet scent and matched the sweet flavor, this was like someone made brownies primarily to get sugar not cocoa or chocolate because the hint is there of our favorite ingredient, but it isn't strong.

Since I don't know what "natural color and flavor" truly means in terms of chocolate content and these tasted like overly sweet brownie batter than chocolatey brownie batter, these cannot earn Sacrament status. Check them out if you want.
