I've seen Mr. Beast Feastables candy bars around in my local Kroger for months now, but the price is generally well above the other candy bars. There was a decent sale, so I decided to check it out for you and for myself. Let's see how the Milk Crunch did in my taste testing.
There are obviously dairy ingredients but also soy and rice since the crunch part is crisp rice. The ingredients are simple, nothing added beyond what I'd expect in a candy bar where sugar is first on the list. What is unexpected is that cocoa butter is third on the list while unsweetened chocolate is fourth. That order of ingredients probably explains the light color of the bar.
The design is interesting with the "Feastables" in two larger sections and the traditional sectioning of chocolate candy bars filling about half the surface. As you can see in the photo, the crunchy pieces are visible on the back side.
The scent is milky and sweet, I get more rice than I do chocolate. The sections break away easily and with only soft sound, but the bar is crunchy. The chocolate flavor is weak like a under flavored chocolate milk with a strong vanilla edge to it. At least there isn't a lot of saltiness.
I'm glad I waited for a sale before I got these because they are not worth the full price. In fact, I put all but one section out to share with anyone else because I'm so disappointed in the flavor.
