Here we are with another chocolate recall update to help you protect yourself and those you love. Many chocolate related recalls are focused on mislabeling which can be dangerous for folks with food allergies, but some are related to serious illnesses or even dangerous materials in the food and beverages. Imperial Nougat Co. Brand Warning

Imperial Nougat Co. manufactured the following cookies and candies that contain allergens not listed on the label:

IMPERIAL CHOCOLATE COVERED Chickpea Cookies (8-oz) dated 10.30.26– undeclared milk

CHICKPEA COOKIE bearing Imperial logo (16-oz) dated 12.28.26 – undeclared wheat

IMPERIAL COCONUT COOKIE (10-oz) dated 12.30.26 – undeclared tree nut, pistachio

IMPERIAL PERSIAN NOUGAT, SUGAR FREE (WORLDS FINEST SUGAR FREE PISTACHIO NOUGAT IN FLOUR) (20-oz) dated between 04.08.27 through 05.04.27 – undeclared wheat

IMPERIAL SALTANATI GAZ (48 Round Pieces of the Finest Pistachio Nougats in Flour “The Old Fashion Persian Style”) (20-oz) dated between 04.08.27 through 05.04.27 – undeclared wheat 

Health risks: Undeclared allergens, like milk, wheat, and tree nuts, can cause serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, in sensitive individuals. Consumers with allergies to these ingredients are urged to carefully review product labels and avoid any items included in this safety alert. If accidental exposure occurs and symptoms develop, seek immediate medical attention.

Stores affected:  Products were distributed to Iranian/Persian and Middle Eastern specialty markets in California.

Recommendation:

Consumers with milk, wheat, or tree nut (pistachio) allergies should check their cabinets for Imperial-brand products listed above and should not eat these products. Contact your place of purchase to return them. 

Distributors and retailers who received the above-mentioned Imperial-brand products should remove these products from shelves and not further distribute these products. If you further distributed these products, contact your customers and notify them of this safety alert.

Consumers who have symptoms should contact their health care provider to report their symptoms and receive care.

Boner Bears Chocolate Recall Recall

JXK Enterprises, Inc is voluntarily recalling Boner Bears Chocolate, Lot #BB21125, after being notified that FDA laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of sildenafil, an active ingredient in the FDA-approved prescription drug Viagra, which is not declared on the product label.

Sildenafil is approved for use only under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Products containing undeclared sildenafil may pose serious health risks. Sildenafil can interact with nitrates found in certain prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Individuals with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease are at increased risk due to potential interactions.

SkinnyDipped® Recall

Bazzini, LLC, of Allentown, PA, a co-manufacturer utilized by SkinnyDipped®, is voluntarily recalling a limited number of cases of SkinnyDipped® Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Bites, out of an abundance of caution, due to the possible presence of undeclared peanut allergen. People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled products were distributed nationwide and sold through retailers. Some products were also provided as complimentary samples to consumers. The products consist of individually wrapped bites sold in packages of different sizes. Recalled products can be identified by the lot code and Best By (BB) date on the exterior package. Each individually wrapped bite can be identified by the lot code and best by date as shown below:

No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported to date. The recall is being issued after a consumer reported allegedly finding peanut butter containing products in SkinnyDipped® Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Bites individual wrappers within the 3.17oz. 10-count package. Peanuts and peanut butter are not intended ingredients in SkinnyDipped® Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Bites
