Marching into Chocolate

Sorry I forgot our Fun Food Calendar for February but here is for March and there is a lot of days, weeks, and even month long celebrating you can do with chocolate.

March = National Flour Month -- for most cakes and cookies you'll need flour but I wonder if anyone has made chocolate flour.

March = Frozen Foods Month, begun in 1983 by The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA), many grocery stores in the USA have a focus on frozen food sales during this month; National Craft Month

1st Thursday in March = World Book Day

March 1 = National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day -- in honor of both this fun food holiday and the entire month of March, here's a product review of Magnum Double Peanut Butter


March 2 = Read Across America Day -- here's a list of chocolate books we'd covered back in 2015!

2nd week of March = Chocolate Chip Cookie Week runs from March 6-12th this year (or 7-13 depending on when you think of a week starting) -- there will be a feature article about this here once it goes live on March 11th.

March 6 = National White Chocolate Cheesecake Day

March 7 = National Cereal Day -- flashback recipe from 2015


March 8 = National Peanut Cluster Day

3rd week of March = American Chocolate Week runs from March 13-19 this year (or 12-18th depending on the start of your week)

March 14 = National Pi Day which is often treated as a pie day or a circle shaped food day

March 18 = National Oatmeal Cookie Day -- I'll try to share the recipe I use most often if you all would like to learn about it, leave a comment and let me know

March 19 = National Chocolate Caramel Day

March 24 = National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day

March 25 = International Waffle Day -- here's a simple recipe flashback


March 25 = Pecan Day

March 26 = National Make Up Your Own Holiday Day -- why do this without chocolate?

March 28 = National Black Forest Cake Day
